Thread: Sith Assassin?

Who else is curious how this class will hold out against the Marauder (just focusing on the melee side of things right now)? The concepts of the playstyle seems interesting enough, but not enough information has been released to truly speculate any style of theorycrafting with precision. So what do you think?

If you look through released information, it looks like they should do about the same, just at different speeds and using different strategies. For example, one class is good for burst damage while the other is good for sustaining damage. The issue I have with this is that on easier battles, the burst damage class will always top the rest because the mob will be down before any slower DPS class has the opportunity to react.

But the real meat and potatoes is on the bosses. So, the burst damage will be good for a leveling toon and when that toon gets to a boss or end game raiding then switch to the sustained damage spec. That is just my theory

Are you interested in the Assassin / Shadow AC's? While I'm more interested in the Sage / Sorcerer, it still promises to have a unique enough playstyle.

I am going to play on the Republic side and I will probably end up going Sage because I am going to have to heal in my group of r/l friends. I have read up on the Sorcerer also and that AC sounds fun as well as unique.

Ahh, I see. Well, my interests are one thing, my goal is another. I don't think I need to repeat again what my plans are in terms of class / AC

Sith assasin really intresting one and the tanking side on it.
