What I hope to achieve in TOR.

IRL Information: My name is Jacob, I'm a freshman in College, studying to be a Hospitality Major, HM is a major consisting of Restaurant or Hotel management and upkeep (Catering to the guests 24/7). I also work at a Red Lobster (gotta pay that 15$ a month) to pay the bills :/. Besides all of that I have special interests that have molded who I am today; these include quotes and hobbies.

Hands down I have 3 quotes that I will never forget.
1. Nothing of myself is original, I am a combination of everyone I've ever met.
2. Life is much like a math problem, the solution is how you choose to solve it.
3. You know pizza is legit when it comes in a box.

Now aside from the quotes above^^^ I do have a long list of hobbies to occupy my time.
I listen to any form of music, Club trance and Hardstyle are hands down my favorite genres of music.
I also have a secret love for my kitten my little O.P. (initials stand for over powered, because he is quite fat but he can jump anywhere in my house).
I hope you enjoyed reading some of my IRL facts.

Now onto my Gaming history.
Lets put it this way, I've invested 8 years on Runescape to move on to Star wars. Yeah, it's not very pretty, I've learned everything about tanking and raiding from runescape and compared to star wars, I really think youtube would be a better guideline.

And finally last but not least what I hope to gain in and from Playing TOR: Well ever since I played runescape I've been in a clan (guild) and it has kept me from moving on in other games, the point is I only really have fun doing things such as PvP or PvM with other people. I think the longest War I've ever been in was.... 24-27 hours long (I died a total of 46 times). But the atmosphere of the clan was amazing, good music good people great war we also won.

On TOR I rolled a sith warrior who I've turned into a Juggernaut, now being new to the game and finishing the tutorial (very hard to mess up in a tutorial) I am completely lost, but I've made it to the dark city our capital Kaas City. if anyone else had rolled a juggernaut and has some friendly advice please do not hesitate to help me.

Welcome to JediTank, Jacob! My Juggernaut is currently level 43, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask them on the board and I'll be more than happy to answer them. You're right, Runescape isn't much to go on, but don't fret. A lot of people I've seen in game are new(er) to MMO's, and that's what this site is here for.

I got a level 24 juggernaut myself at the moment. It gets quite a fun storyline.

Thanks everyone for the positive feed back! currently level 14 doing the "Ancient Answer" Quest, but I'm getting trumped by the levels.

Leveling is incredibly quick in this game if you have the patience. But you're right, you are behind, compared to those who got in on the 20th (me) and even further to those who got in even earlier (everyone else).

I was in day one of early access, only level 31 with 2 level 10s. I play to enjoy the story for now, soon I will buckle down and get my BH to max level.

I am a fan of a great story, I don't know if any of you read the old republic book series (by drew karypshyn) the last book "Revan" gives a lot of insight to the logic and code of the Revanites ingame, but I'm trying to get my Jug maxed out as soon as possible so I can start on my sniper. got a great name for it too, Salvo (definition below)

A simultaneous discharge of artillery or other guns in a battle.
A number of weapons released from one or more aircraft in quick succession.

My tips for leveling fast: skip the dialogue on non-class quests (9 out of 10 of them are the same junk over and over, I don't plan on doing this with my next toon), skip heroic quests unless you have a group lined up in advance (same with fp). There will be points where you underlevel the content, just keep trucking and it will balance out.
