    Default Raid setups?

How would you like raid setups to be like? How many people would you want a full raid to be?

    Default RE: Raid setups?

I saw something about it being 8 people raids, not sure if that was confirmed, however. The demo showed 4 player groups, of course that could have just been to show off said trailer. Personally, I like large groups for hard content. I'd personally like to see 20+ member raids.

In terms of setup, it's rather obvious that you are going to have your typical healer / tank / dps setup, but unless there is a guaranteed player count for raids, and until you know how effective healers / tanks are, you won't know how many (or %) of the raid should be tanks, dps, etc.

I'm really hoping for confirmation on larger raid setups, otherwise jobs for us tanks will be incredibly scarce.

Exactly. Hopefully there will be large, medium and small (flashpoints) raids to cater for everyone!

Agreed. That's the only good thing about WoW, is how they have 5-10-25 man groups. I'm almost glad I wasn't there for the 40 man groups, as that had to have been a nightmare to organize (as the 25 man groups are a pain enough).

Although, I wouldn't mind it if they allowed large groups (even as large as 40 if not larger) if the servers are populated enough to support it (or if there's some sort of flashpoint recruitment system).

I'd like to see raids about 16-20 people, with some smaller ones here and there. I wouldn't be surprised to see different MT's on different bosses either, considering there are Ranged tanks, etc. I just hope they find some sort of medium to cater to different play styles. While I do enjoy larger groups I don't always have the time, etc.

Pretty much how I'm feeling about it. With the pros and cons of the different tanking styles, it should definitely create new types of strategies I'm hoping that encounters really push for use of both kinds of tanks simultaneously, I think it would really liven things up and diversify play styles.

The 25s these days are just the same headache. Today it's 20 competent people (or less) and 5 (or more) idiots being carried. Back then it was 20 competent people (or less) and 20 (or more) idiots being carried. The main difference was frame rates and vent moderation, mute all idiots /win

But yeah, seriously hoping to see large and small scale raiding. I'm half hoping it will be like Cataclysm in the sense that 10/25-man loot is the same so smaller guilds aren't penalized for lack of size and larger guilds don't have the advantage because they're willing to suffer the agony of babysitting tons of players.

If I'm in a small guild, I'll want this system, if I'm in a big guild I'm going to want better loot than the 10-man guilds so I'll get bitten in the bum either way. /shrug

    P.S. 8-Man raids?
