Default Do's and Don'ts of Huttball

Before I begin, I am posting this from tapatalk on my phone, so until I get home this will not maintain the format I wish for it to possess. Now then...

I've been playing pvp nearly exclusively since I hit 50, and while its not so bad since the 50 bracket was created, its still a bit rough. Basically there is only a small group I enjoy grouping (pre-made), and typically we still run into these same types of people. If any else has things to add, feel free and I will try and keep this up to date.

    1. If you have never played before, don't carry the ball. Pass the ball if you don't know what to do with it.

    2. If you are a dps marauder, IA, mercy, or any of the republic equivalents, pass the ball. The only reason I don't mention dps assassin is due to force speed. You are far too squishy to carry (effectively, and I'll be flamed for saying that). If you have a high amount of expertise, ignore that comment.

    3. Classes with intercede need the ball. If one has the ball, stay ahead of him so he can intercede to you. Not only is this incredibly helpful, but if the have 2 pieces of their pvp set they get a nice little heal for it.

I have a lot more to add, but I'm running short on time.

I will agree with the dps merc not having the ability to carry properly. I find that hanging back and doing some cc works best at times... also enjoy stealing kills, lol. Sometime I will run a few paces behind the ball carrier on the ramps and stun in the fire or blast them off the ramps with my knock back. Perhaps someday I will figure a way to score more points, but until then, I like to play back up.

Guard is a good way to go, plus, even as dps specced you can toss a few clutch heals if necessary. You will also notice that once you gain expertise you become a LOT harder to kill, so a well placed stun or pushback can gain you a well placed point.
