Thread: What class / AC are you looking to PvP with?

I'm looking forward to tinkering with a Bounty Hunter, for the sole purpose of PvP. Not that I doubt what my Sith Warrior will do, but I would much prefer to spend all initial resources and energy with PvE oriented goals in mind (after all, someone's gotta FRAPS some good tanking videos for this place ).

I'm looking into doing anything with this BH PvP oriented. I can't wait until more information on skill building comes into play so that I can prepare functional builds. If I can get some info early enough, I'd be more than willing to write a web-based talent calculator.

The only pvp I've really done was in D2, so I'm not sure just how good I'd be in this game as it will be a first for me. I'm thinkin of starting off with a smuggler as my first character, so hopefully I won't die too much

I've decided that my first character will be a Jedi Consular. That's just to get my feet wet in the game. It just seems like the Consular and the Sith Inquisitor would be the easiest classes to start off with (I think).

Really? I would consider that to be the hardest.

I've been contemplating going ahead and making a World of Warcraft talent calculator, not to release for WoW, but just so I'd have the code ready to translate to TOR when more information is complete just so I will have far better chances of being the first talent calculator available. This is also something I've been trying to buzz around the staff here, but sadly haven't gotten much response

When I played wow, I used to PVP on my paladin who was a tank. I had 40K up which was a lot in those days, so it was pretty awesome for Warsong Gulch. I was definitely overpowered, but I loved it. After that I switched to rogue and really loved the experience too. However, I have to admit that most enjoyable experience I had was as a warlock. I did enjoy my chaos bolts

In regards to swtor; I will definitely PVP as a Sith warrior. We will definitely be the underdogs in PVP as the competion from the other classes seems a bit OP. Any who, I'll try and make it work for me!

There wasn't PvP in WoW like feral druid PvP, and that's where I spent the majority of my time

As far as SW:TOR goes, I haven't noticed anything that really caught my eye in terms of imbalances. As I mentioned in the Bounty Hunter thread, there will still be a lot of ways it seems for classes to counter each other. It doesn't seem to me that there are counter classes such as WoW shows off, so hopefully it will be a whole new experience.

Druid pvp is amazing, and is one of the main reasons I'm still playing Of course, I'm not feral, but resto is still amazing if you are specced for pvp. Far more strategy involved in terms of survival than say a disc priest or a paladin.
