    Default Leveling with a Friend

I have to say, leveling with a friend is very fun and seems to bring a new level of enjoyment to the game for me. We are trying to stick to the same level for now, but I am hoping he will eventually take off and crank out some serious gametime so that I can focus on my main while he plays catch up, but for now it is fun and a great way to show him the ropes. I really look forward to PVP, we used to tear it up on other MMOs, I am sure we will do the same with this one. Anyone else been able to play with a friend? What do you think of it?

As soon as I can get some spare cash together, I'm going to finally fix up my old machine, buy another copy of TOR, and play with my wife. She's been bugging me rather incessantly about it lately

Like I said in the shoutbox, I'm playing together with my cousin. I have my jedi guardian reserved for teamplay, he has a jedi shadow. My companion is dps, his companion is a healer, so we got the perfect setup. 1 tank, 1 ranged dps, 1 melee dps and a healer.
I've also setup a small teamspeak server for voice communication, which is off course a lot more effective then using the ingame chat.
It's a lot more fun then playing solo all the time and I always look forward to these game sessions.

Both of us only play these chars when we are together, so they remain the same levels. We both have a sith warrior ment for solo play.

I was eventually wanting to rent a vent server but the extra money just hasn't hit my account (aka I'm broke).

If you guys want to have a voice chat session you are free to use my TS server. However, it's located in Belgium so I'm not sure how the connection would be.
JD, drop me a line if you want to set something up.

If you guys want to use it that's no big deal. For the moment I've got to try and remember how exactly to put a mic on this computer...apparently my Audigy 2 doesn't have a mic port (didn't realize this...)

Not to my Audigy. What I COULD do is enable my onboard and use that for the mic, but that in itself would be a pain.

Relooking at prices, it's not something I can't necessarily afford off of advertising revenue alone, just didn't know if it would do us much good right now (considering we have 4 regular posters on the daily right now, and a few people who pop in on occasion...). If you guys really want it, I'll order one within the next month or so, just remind me as when it comes to improvements for the site, that hasn't been one of my top priorities. Don't get that backwards though, I'd love to talk to you guys, and it would be nice to have a public vent server in the event we are pugging something and another isn't available. Obviously the address would be something kept in the VIP room for Charter/Premium/Staff members only with a weekly password change (Don't fret, Thelaki, you will be there before we have something of this nature up ) that way at least subscriptions would cover it (it's $30 for a month for a 75 user server, I'd probably start us out with a 15-25 user).

Well put in on the to do list, but you are right, its not an important upgrade as of now. When you are ready though and if you need some donations for it I can contribute.

One up side to me not having a lot of time to play right now is its giving my friend a chance to catch up to my main, this is something I am looking forward too.

    Lo'all,

I too like to lvl with others. I have ran my own guild in other games and have some them move over to SWTOR to include my wife. As to teamspeak, it was a requirement of my last clan that you install it. It became a meeting place for us. PPL would log on TS prior to getting on the game or just to listen to others while they did something offline. Gamevoice is a BIG part of my gaming experience.

Now, that was said to bring up my other point. I have a TS server called StrykerNet and a webforum to go with it. The concept is a multgame platform where the ppl that use it are the focus and not just the game. Being an old gamer, as games come and go so do the ppl that I learned to appreciate. I am hopeful to grow a community based on gamers themselves.

Here is the website, It is brand new so little traffic at this time. However, this might be an opportunity for two new sites to help each other.

    Nuff Said...

    Puros
