Thread: Space missions - starting late game

As the topic title suggests, I've heard mixed opinions. I've heard of people getting 5 xp and I've heard of people getting 3/4 a level by doing all of their dailies.

I'm almost 46 now and haven't done any so I'm curious if I have anything other than the few titles to look forward to if I catch them up?

You are missing out on a whole different side of the game, I have gotten good and bad XP depending on mission levels. It is sooooo fun though, I like having it to do, its like a mini game that pays out. I would suggest giving it a whirl and keeping that ship upgraded.

But would it be worth it for me at this point?

I've used the space missions as easy xp. When you do them as soon as you get them, they give you around 16k xp per mission. Afterwards they are around 10k per run, untill you outlevel them. I gotten 2 new missions on my guardian a few days ago. 16k each plus the 2k-3k you get during the mission. That was a very easy and quick 40k xp.

Off course, you do outlevel them quite fast, at which point you still get the 2-3k from the actuall combat, but the mission itself will only get you 5xp (similar to doing an heroic of flashpoint that's quite a way below your level). So yes, you missed out on quite a good load of xp.

That's what I was afraid of. Leveling has slowed down a bit because I'm a good 2 levels below where I should be. The quests are doable, just takes some extra time.

Still worth the fun if you have not done them yet, it wont hurt anything to try them...

Or keep them for another character. They get boring quite fast if you do them often. Especially since they are identical for every character, republic or empire.

Meh. I think I'm just going to PvP grind to 46, then finish up with quests. Hopefully I won't fall behind again. I've been spending the last few hours soloing FP's, I cleared Foundry until I got to Revan...which he rocked me pretty hard. Killed me and my dps companion, still had 50% health. I might have been able to take him if I were using Vette or perhaps Quinn if I had him primarily to DPS, but he's definitely not very easy to solo using a melee dps companion, that's for sure
