Thread: What's your legacy?

For those who haven't progressed enough to figure it out just yet, Legacy is a system that is set up to keep you playing once you've reached maximum level. By rolling alts and progressing through their storylines, you can level up your Legacy level as well. Of course, before you can do this, you must complete act 1 (typically around levels 30-34) on at least one character which will unlock it for all characters on that particular server. Right now there aren't any real concrete benefits from the Legacy system, but that's something that should change shortly.

I'm currently about halfway through level 1 (just unlocked it yesterday) and have chosen the name, Khann. Right now, my human(isk) characters use the title as a last name, while my other characters are using it underneath their name. For example, my main is now Lord Draconek, The Khann Legacy.

What have you done thus far?

I want this so bad, sadly Fett has been taken on my server. I have a few levels to think up a good one I guess.

I've made it to Legacy level 2 as I've been leveling up my Sorcerer. I decided I'm only going to touch my Juggernaut on the days I have off, that way I have a decent amount of rested on him when I finally have time for heavy grinding. By next Wednesday, I fully intend on being at least 40.

My legacy is, The Turbo Legacy...all my guys are named after Honda's car models. Weird you say, I agree...but I am a HUGE enthusiest so it only seemed right, lol. I am about half way through level 1 of the legacy system, I cant wait to see what bonus perks you get from this. I like the fact that having a unique name title allows people to better identify you...when they see my alts, they shall be afraid.

I'm nearing level 5 myself. It would definitely be nice to see what's to come of it.

I have a feeling it may turn out to be similar to the WoW guild leveling system perhaps.

Guild leveling was well after I quit, care to elaborate how that worked?

Sure, I will give you the basics. The guild earns XP and gains levels, the levels provide you with points that you apply to a perk tree just like a talent tree. You get certain bonuses and advantages by doing this, so I am assuming it may be the same kind of set up, only to perhaps provide perks for alts or maybe minor things like mounted speed increases and such. Just speculation.

I'm thinking (or hoping) it will also include a shared storage vault that can be used by all your characters, with space increasing as your legacy level goes up.

That would be nice. The guild level thing would be a good idea too, not quite so sure how I would have liked it for wow, but this right here with just my characters sounds good to me.

Just unlocked the legacy as well at level 29. My sith warrior now has the title of sith lord.

What name did you choose?!

None yet, I can't make a decision.. I really dislike the fact that the name is shared across all characters (both factions).

Ya it was hard for me...Like I said, I was mad when I couldnt have Fett.

It probably wasn't taken, it was probably restricted. For example, I tried to create maul as my assassin but it said the name was unavailable. Not taken, unavailable.

Nope, I saw Mr. Fett running around DK. I almost went with a different SW universe name but I decided to stick with the Honda theme, lol.

Still waiting to see what Rayden picked for a legacy name.

I tried to pick Fubar as my legacy name but it said it was unavailable. So I chose Jeb. The Fubar Legacy would have been sweet.
