Thread: What type of tanks?

I haven't been able to find any information about any new tanks - does anyone know if there will be any, and if so, what new features we can expect?

You can expect Jedi Guardians (Knight advanced class) and Sith Juggernauts (Warrior advanced class) to be head on face to face tanks like you would see in traditional RPG's, as well Powertech (Bounty Hunter advanced class) and the Vanguard (I believe it's the vanguard anyway, Trooper advanced class) which will be ranged tanking, something I've never experienced before in this caliber of game. Ranged tanking, as seen by some of the videos released, involves a lot of strafing and avoiding the enemy as opposed to taking direct hits (as well as traps), which is something I'm looking forward to having a greater deal of information about.

itll be fun to see the first time a ranged tank strafes a flame breath directly into the raid group xD /wipe

Consular Shadow and Inquisitor Assasin will be too tanks. guessing theyll be evasive tanks.

Which is going to be odd. They are seriously trying to go all out with this hybridization of classes. I mean...it's potential a good thing, but potentially a terrible thing, all in how they execute it.
