Thread: I might skip to Operative

So throughout wow I healed as a priest and hated it, but knew I wasn't going to get in groups as shadow (long time ago). Then I got going with my druid and loved it.

After playing around on my sorcerer I'm starting to sense the same feelings, yet after reading about operatives, you get where I'm going with this.

Anyone who has played one care to share their experiences?

Wait, what? So keep the jug as your main and go main alt operative?

Exactly. I was planning on keeping a sorc around to keep me from being burnt from my juggernaut. Now I'm considering keeping an op instead.

I lost interest in the one I played during beta...the whole stealthy/cover was not my thing. Same reason I couldnt play a rogue in WoW.

I edited my above post so you could read the information they have about them. If you plan to DPS as a sniper/operative, I suppose it would be somewhat slealthy, but when you are healing it's not so much that way. There are a few encounters where you can use cover to avoid attacks, but mostly you aren't using it, mostly because apparently there's a bug preventing you from doing much while in cover.

I've only tried an agent during beta, and just for 3 levels or so. I didn't really like the cover system, but perhaps it just takes some getting used to. If I roll one again, it'll probably be a sniper since I already have a healer and 2 tanks.
For healing I really prefer my commando, yes you are a healer, but you can also dish out loads of damage and are quite sturdy since you wear heavy armor. I would guess the operative is very similar in gameplay.

Yeah, it should be pretty much identical.

I would think compaing a trooper to a bh is a more honest comparison. An operative is the mirror to the smuggler.

I get that mixed up at times. You know, troopers and agents are both more militant.
