Thread: Early Access

For all those who pre-ordered and have early access what do you plan on doing with the extra time? I plan on testing a couple server types, hoping for a decent RP-PVP server and looking for one close to me, then get a head start on leveling.

Normally I'd take a headstart with leveling, to get out of the newbie areas by the time the gates open to the public. However, considering the ammount of players who placed a preorder, I'd say those areas will be crowded anyway...

Sadly yes, but depending on which version you ordered you get a little more of a head start. I think the CE will give me 6day? Either way, I want to pick a good server most importantly.

I could be wrong, but isn't the server picked for you? I was under the impression that they will assign you to a server based on your language and rp/pvp/pve settings.

From what I know its chosen for guilds...not individual players. I may be wrong but I doubt it seeing as how individual players will still want to be able to play with friends and family.

Exactly how early will the access be? i have preordered and was wondering this. I love the idea of being first to see this new exciting world, and to be able to call everyone n00b for a while xD

If you preordered the normal box its 3 days, the collectors edition is 6 days. It should have said what you got, if you got anything, when you entered your code from the receipt.

Well now I feel like a tool because I cant find the source...I swear I read on the official forum pre-order FAQ that those are the days.

It sounds logical enough for me to believe you.

If I 'do' end up getting in for pre-release, I'm rather interested in getting in on my server as well. I, too, will be looking for RP-PvP, so hopefully I'll get put on a reasonably competitive server (even though RP tends to have a reputation of NOT in most games...)

It appears that there will be staggering for early release dependent on how early you pre-order. If its a maximum of 1 week early access, hypothetically speaking, it seems that you will be able to enter right away if you ordered before everyone else. If you were later in pre-ordering then your access may be staggered to a later date within a few days, so as to allow smooth entry for those who came before you. Its first come first serve:

I like this idea, I pre ordered in the early hours of day 1 so im sure I have a good head start.

Well...nevermind then.

I did not see anything that listed different early access based on item ordered. Just a difference in the Digital Items.

Goddamn... I just noticed my preorder code wasn't applied to my account. I did it right after I placed the preorder but I guess something went wrong..

That probably means 1 or 2 days less early access by now. :'(
