How to use them effectively

Introduction
First of all, thank you for taking to the time to visit JediTank.com and we hope you enjoy your stay. This is an organized, complete, and up to date list with the features we offer. Please remember, these are all features, simply added bonuses, not to redirect the attention from our primary goal, to be your primary resource for tanking in Star Wars: The Old Republic



Community Features
Features that the community can take advantage of

Contests
Milestone Contests
After the game is launched, we will be holding a few contests to encourage the competitive nature of this type of game. Please note, only regular and active members can win these awards. When we start these awards, we will create a stickied thread to show off the feats of our members. Upon completion of any particular milestones, the member will need to make a post in this particular thread stating which milestone they hit and a screenshot proving they did in fact hit this milestone. There will be several milestone contests, and more will be added periodically before the launch of the game as more information is released. Winners of these contests will receive a 3 month subscription to JediTank.com's premium content. As of now, we will be hosting milestone contests for the following:

• First character to reach level 50
• First character of 'x faction' to reach level 50
• First character of 'x class' to reach level 50
• First character(s) to beat 'x flashpoint'

These awards will be cumulative, for example, the absolute first member to reach level 50 will get 9 months, as they will not only get the first character, but they will also be the first of their faction/class. Also, if that first member to reach level 50 is also the first to beat whichever flashpoint, the 3 months will be added to their subscription. This is to encourage members to continue to strive for excellence. If it is a group milestone, if the member posting the achievement is the only member of the group who is a member of JediTank.com, then s/he will be the only to receive the award. If the other members are also members of JediTank, they will all receive the award as a group. If you would like to claim the group faceted awards as a guild, we will arrange for your whole guild to benefit from the free 3 months of premium memberships.



User Features
Premium Memberships
Bills are a rather unfortunate side effect to all walks of life, and running and maintaining a website is no different. Once we come closer to the games official launch date, I can guarantee this site will be forced to change hosting packages at least once. In order for us to be able to afford to maintain the services we are wanting to offer the community, we will eventually be forced to monetize the site with advertisements and other sources of revenue to at least partially offset the balance. While the blunt of these actions will be taken upon non-registered users, normal members will still unfortunately have to suffer through some sponsor ads to keep us afloat. On the flip side, if you really don't like advertisements or just want to support the website, premium packages will be incorporated with several features in mind, including some of the following:

• Advertisement free browsing!
• Username / Title markup plus cool name badge!
• Increased storage including PM box, attachments, avatars, etc.!
• Addition to forum leader list to show your support!
• Access to VIP forums to help discuss new and upcoming features!
• and more!

Charter Memberships
To encourage activity as well as new registrations, we will be awarding the first 100 members with more than 25 posts of quality content with an exclusive group. Members who are classified as 'Charter Member's will have the same benefits as those members who have chosen to help support the site by becoming premium members, with the difference being they will be charter members for life!

Recommended Players
This group will be an honorary group based on referrals from players themselves of The Old Republic. They will be awarded with a badge so that we know exactly who to go to for an astounding tank/healer/dps!

This is for all moderators as well as future staff groups we will be adding in the future. Viewing a member with this rank should allow you to know that the member is a member of our staff, and if you have a question they can direct you where to go if not answer it themselves.



Senior staff have the ability to moderate the entire board, and can help you with almost any problem you have. Seek these members out if you have a problem!

Features that ANYONE can take advantage of

Strategies and Builds
Flashpoint Strategies
Upon release of the game, I am personally planning on recording gameplay videos of all successful flashpoints I am apart of in an attempt to demonstrate working strategies as well as showing off the flashhpoints themselves. I will be maintaining a stickied post to function as a directory of strategies within the Flashpoint forum for easy access. This isn't something that only I plan on taking part in, if anyone else would like to submit videos, I am more than willing to host them either on our web server here or upload them to the up and coming JediTank YouTube profile. If you have strategies without videos, I would also be more than grateful adding them to our directory.

PvP Strategies / Builds
In the respective class forums, I plan on dedicating some time in testing builds and strategies and encourage others to do the same. In the PvP forums, I will be creating stickied directories (much like the flashpoint strategy directory) easing the locations of user submitted PvP videos, strategy guides, and PvP oriented character building guides (if they are separate from the overall strategy). While the main focus of this website is PvE oriented, PvP is still an important and enjoyable feature within Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Character Class Strategy
Much like the other features I've mentioned, we will be creating an environment capable of transforming a complete newbie into a fully functional expert of their class and role. We will be working towards min/maxing character builds, gear, and stat spreads to help you make your character as efficient as possible.



Featured Forums
JediTank Marketplace
This will be a feature that will allow users to post requests or offers for in-game goods and services. Please note, no transactions using actual legal tender will be permitted. Trades will be relative to in-game items ONLY. Any users reported and proven to be scamming will be banned immediately. This is a 0 tolerance policy to ensure the integrity of our traders. For now, this feature is only available to staff members, premium users, charter members, and guild leaders. Once policies and interest is established, it will be available to all users.

Guild Integration
We will be establishing a public user group exclusively to guild leaders/officers, enabling access to exclusive forums used to privately discuss guild relations, ask advice, brag about your progression, etcetera. To enter this group, please go your UserCP and follow the link Group Memberships. After you request to join, you will be shown a form asking the reason. In this form, please provide proof that you are a leader/officer of a guild for TOR with at least 10 members. Currently, all members of the Guild Leader group will receive a permanent link in our footer. This is a temporary feature, so get in while supplies last! More exclusive features to this group are being conceived, so stay tuned!

Update!
If we can get enough participation from guild leaders around the globe, I will be writing a rotated link for all members in the guild leader group, that way anyone can potentially have their guild shown off! We are still contemplating more options and features to help promote the groups and guilds of TOR, so we'll keep you posted!



Featured Sites

You might notice the empty space in the footer for Featured Sites. For all other SW:TOR fansites interested in exchanging links with us, feel free to send us a message with the details of the exchange, such as what your website is about, and where you will be placing a link to JediTank.com. In the future it will be feasible to exchange image links, but for now all we are offering is text, and we apologize for any inconvenience. Right now, our only real requirement is that any exchanges aren't direct competition to either JediTank.com or its affiliates.



Conclusion
Currently we are a small fish metaphorically speaking. To our advantage, the pond is more than shallow. This being stated, we have more than a head start to make our impression to become the place to go for tanking strategies in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

New features and updates are discussed on a weekly basis within the VIP forum (for premium / charter members), so if you are a member of these groups, feel free to comment on what you would like changed or the ideas the staff have. If you have a problem or want to see a change, submit a thread in the Suggestion forum and we will get to it as soon as we can.

These are all items that I've added after a weekend of staff deliberation.

If anyone would like to see anything implemented, feel free to post your suggestions and the staff will discuss your ideas thoroughly. We certainly have no room to slouch if we intend to be the top forum for tanking in The Old Republic

Awesome new changes! I can't wait until this game comes out. How much will the premium memberships cost? Also, the trading marketplace is a cool idea. There are so many things to look forward to.

Premium memberships are available at a base price of $5 a month to $35 a year (saving $25). I encourage all members who wish to show their appreciation or dedication to give it a shot.

I'll see what I can do. I really love chatting with you guys and talking about The Old Republic. There aren't that many people that I can talk about it without them getting annoyed.

Well, I am definitely enjoying the site and I really like chatting with you guys. I love all of the new changes, it's definitely going to be a lot fun once TOR is up and running and we can try out all of the new features.

I love the idea of the Guild, too. Especially since you all have pretty much the same mindset as mind regarding quests and whatnot.

To update with this weeks new features:

Guild Integration
The newest feature for JediTank.com, is 'Guild Integration', our outlet to guilds of all creeds, allowing them to publicly advertise their guilds recruitment status, progression, etcetera. Also, within Guild Integration is the 'Featured Guilds' forum. 5 guilds a month will be selected for the opportunity to interview with us. Those interviews will be posted here, and will be linked to on the index for the remainder or that month (or until more interviews are made).

Also, if anyone is interested in having their link on our index permanently, this will be another perk that I will be adding to the 'Guild Leader' publicly joinable usergroup.

Unfortunately, that's all that made the cut for this week, more updates to come.

Somewhat of a small update, but I've uploaded about 100+ avatars for those having a hard time finding one they want (not many are necessarily Star Wars related, but most should be the type you guys would like). I'm also in the process of uploading and adding about 100 or so new smilies.

Nothing big, just something fun. Default smilies are boring, I'm afraid.
